I'm Lauren, and also go by Thy! I’m a quality-driven design professional with creative experience in highly competitive industries such as tech and finance. I began my design journey at the University of Notre Dame where I obtained a BA in Design. After amassing over two decades of work experience in digital design, I pursued further education and was recently conferred the MS in Human Factors in Information Design degree from Bentley University where I learned to combine the principles of human factors engineering, information design, cognitive psychology, and user experience (UX) research & design to my processes. I am committed to lifelong learning and will continuously seek opportunities to further my education and expertise in the evolving realm of product design.

I’ve worked with large corporations, small businesses, and start-ups to develop engaging and visually stimulating multimedia presentations of print, web, and digital pieces. I’ve been consumed with delivering polished designs and interactions and have enjoyed being part of teams that drove design, research, and business values. Moreover, going forward, my work philosophy is deeply influenced by the principles of human factors. Understanding the intricacies of human cognition, perception, and behavior guides my approach to crafting user-centered designs that resonate with and cater to the needs of diverse audiences.

I prioritize clarity, simplicity, and visual hierarchy to ensure that information is conveyed effectively and intuitively. Design decisions are informed by empirical research and user testing, allowing me to iteratively refine prototypes and optimize user experiences. Incorporating ergonomic considerations into design elements enhances usability and comfort, while accessibility features ensure inclusivity for all users. By embracing human factors principles, I strive to create products that not only fulfill functional requirements but also resonate emotionally, fostering meaningful connections for the users.
